Vacuum pumps

LuK's continuous development of the vane concept led to the worldwide launch of the single-vane pump in series production in 1995. This pump type (VAPEC S) uses only a small number of single parts and combines an extremely compact and weight-saving size with a large delivery volume, low oil flow and the lowest possible power consumption.

The sizes on offer cover the entire range of suction performance requirements for modern vehicles from small cars right through to light-weight commercial vehicles. While the use of vacuum pumps was limited to diesel engines at first, the most modern vacuum pumps are now available for use in petrol engines with fully variable camshaft adjustment or direct injection.

Advantages

  • high suction performance complying with requirements stipulated in all known requirement specifications
  • lowest possible power consumption, contributing to reductions in fuel consumption
  • robust construction with a long life span, cold-start efficiency and low running noise
  • extremely low external dimensions, even with large delivery volumes
  • external dimensions can be adapted to installation conditions
  • low weight
  • low flow of engine lubricating oil
